The New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Water Companies Association is offering scholarships to high school senior students or high school graduates who will be attending or are currently attending a college or university and are interested in the water utility industry or any related field. Applicants must be a New Jersey resident for 5 years. Three letters of recommendation are required: 1) One from a teacher or guidance counselor from the school you're attending. 2) One from an associate not related to you. 3) One from your employer, if you're working. The Veterans Tuition Credit Program-New Jersey is open to veterans attending any approved educational institution. Within this program, partial reimbursement is provided to the institution to offset the cost of the veteran's tuition. Maximum reimbursement is $400 per year for full-time students and $200 for part-time students. The veteran must have been on active duty between Dec. 31, 1960, and May 7, 1975, and have been a legal resident of NJ at the time of entrance into or discharge from the service, or two years immediately before application. Applicants must submit both the completed application and DD Form 214 to the authorized school official at your institution to allow sufficient time for proper certification and submission to the NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs by the October I, 2022 deadline for the fall tem1 and March I, 2023 for the spring term. The POW-MIA Tuition Benefit Program is open to any child born or adopted before or during the period his or her parent was officially declared a prisoner of war (POW) or person missing in action (MIA) after Jan. 1, 1960. The child must attend either a public or private institution in NJ. A copy of DD 1300 must be furnished with the application. The New Jersey War Orphans Tuition Assistance is open to children of those service personnel who died while in the military or due to service-connected disabilities, or who are officially listed as missing in action by the U.S. Department of Defense. The child must be a resident of New Jersey for at least one year immediately preceding the filing of the application and the veteran must have been a state resident as well. The Caroline Guarini Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student majoring in music or a music-related field. Applicants must have an active NIAF Membership. Students may use their parent, guardian or grandparent's membership. Applicants must have Italian American ancestry. To be considered Italian American, the student must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy. The NJCPA Scholarship Fund awards one-year $1,500 scholarships to college-bound New Jersey high school seniors intending to major in accounting or obtain a concentration in accounting which includes not less than 24 accounting credits.

SWE New Jersey was chartered on October 10, 1970. This section supports professional women engineers in the entire state of New Jersey. The SWE New Jersey Section Scholarship aims to support incoming freshman engineering and engineering technology majors. SWE considers academic achievements, participation in extracurricular or volunteer activities, and interest in engineering. Those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited program may apply for this scholarship. Students who attend an ABET-accredited community college program full-time are also eligible. A personal reference and STEM reference are required. The personal reference must be a person who has known the applicant for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the applicant's family. For the STEM reference, it is highly recommended that the reference be someone in a STEM field who is familiar with the applicant's academic work. The SBS of New York Graduate Award may be awarded to the graduate students with the highest cumulative Grade Point Average. Applicants or one of their parents must be a Swiss national. Applicants must be U.S. residents. They must be permanently domiciled in either New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania or Delaware for two years or more. Applicants must have excellent academic standing and show aptitude in their chosen fields of study. The application form together with the applicant's or their parent's proof of Swiss citizenship; proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. residency; and proof of cost for tuition, room and board must be submitted by March 31. Official transcripts; and two current letters of reference from professors in the applicant's major area of study must be submitted by April 30. Applicant must be a high school seniors who are graduating this year from a New Jersey school and participated in high school journalism for at least two years. Three or four letters of recommendation are required for application. Applicants must submit a self-analytical evaluation of your "journalistic life," using your most creative form and an action photo of them doing something journalistic.
