The preparer needs to complete and sign the section to verify they’ve answered all the questions as honestly and accurately as possible.
Can I skip these questions?
- You can skip if you’re the student or the parent/guardian. This section is only for preparers to fill out.
- Preparers may not skip any of these questions.
How to answer these questions
If you prepared the FAFSA® for someone, you’ll need to:
- Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Social Security card.
- Enter your Social Security number and Employer Identification Number (EIN).
- Enter the name of your affiliation or organization.
- Enter your permanent mailing address.
- Sign and enter the date you signed.
